Holiday Spotlight

July 4, 2024

Independence Day or July 4th has been a federal holiday since 1941 but traditions and celebrations go back to the American Revolution. On July 2nd the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence and 2 days later they adopted the Declaration of Independence drafted by Thomas Jefferson. This holiday is celebrated with fireworks, parades, concerts and gatherings with family and friends.
